A portfolio of photographs taken in recent years showing the preserved Narrow Gauge locomotives and railways in Wales.Most of these lines were built to service the abundant slate quarries, transporting the finished product to ships and standard gauge railways. Quarrymen and other passengers were also carried thus providing a local amenity in a Victorian era. The image below was taken during a Vintage Weekend on the Ffestiniog railway showing a line up of loco's posing for about 100 photographers behind me!.
